Welcome to our gallery page where we'd like to share a little of our history and the unimaginable teachers who have visited. We'll share a little about them and  what they taught. It's thanks to Choje Akong Tulku inviting such illustious teachers to the UK and to Karma Jiga for inviting them to what was to become DBG. We hope you enjoy sharing these moments from our group's past.  Thanks for your interest.

Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso.

Teaching Mahamudra in Dundee. Along with Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, Khenpo Rinpoche served as the principal teacher at the shedra (monastic college) at Rumtek Monastery, the seat of the Karmapa in exile. As such, he trained all of the major lineage holders of the Karma Kagyu lineage. He also taught extensively around the world.

Yogi, Guru, Professor

The Khenpo is a prominent scholar yogi in the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He teaches widely in the West, often through songs of realization, his own as well as those composed by Milarepa and other masters of the past. "Tsültrim Gyamtso" translates to English as "Ocean of Ethical Conduct".

Some of the Khenpo's activity.

This is the Khenpo's mountain top retreat centre in Yushu, Tibet photographed by Karma Jiga on a trip to Tibet with the late Akong Tulku Rinpoche, founder of the world famous Samyeling Monastery in Scotland. Karma Jiga travelled extensively with Akong Tulku in India, Nepal and eventually in Tibet, where he was honoured by many high lamas.
